NCEA Level 1 Geography
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Mrs J. Grey
Geography at this level covers a range of topics and skills.
We choose to complete one external achievement standard which involves the application of geographic skills such as map, cartoon and graph interpretation.
Students also cover a selection of internal achievement standards such as research, a current issue in New Zealand and a global study.
This course provides an interesting and broad base for any future studies in the social sciences or in earth science.
A student will be withdrawn from a standard if the teacher is not confident that the achievement of the standard is within the reach of the student or there is no evidence of the student attempting the assessment.
