Course Description

This course aims to give greater breadth and depth to a student’s social science knowledge gained in the compulsory course, further developing the critical thinking skills required for the 21st century.

We live in a globalised world - what does that mean?

Contexts will be taken from current local or global events. 

In the past these have included (and may be selected from):

  • The Antarctica Experience
  • Human Rights - Past, Present, Future
  • Ethical Consumerism
  • Movement of People - what this means for New Zealand


Contributions and Equipment/Stationery

1B8 exercise book, coloured pencils, glue stick, and a personal device is preferable.
