NCEA Level 2 Tourism
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Mrs Y. Orr
Students will study an introductory approach to tourism.
Emphasis is on the New Zealand:
- Tourist locations: social, cultural and physical impacts
- Tourism industry: types, styles
- Characteristics of the tourist
A student will be withdrawn from a standard if the teacher is not confident that the achievement of the standard is within the reach of the student or there is no evidence of the student attempting the assessment.
Contributions and Equipment/Stationery
Highlighters, glue stick, ruler
Some fieldwork may be undertaken and this will involve some cost to students.
This course is supported by STAR funding.
It is preferable for students to bring their own device.
