NCEA Level 2 Visual Arts Photography
12PHO Course DescriptionTeacher in Charge: Mr G. Lindsay.
Recommended Prior LearningMinimum 12 credits at Level 1 visual arts.
Photography students will gain good knowledge of digital photographic and Photoshop procedures. They will develop knowledge and understanding of existing photographic practice. Students will produce work, presented in a portfolio and assignments on a number of themes.
A student will be withdrawn from a standard if the teacher is not confident that the achievement of the standard is within the reach of the student or there is no evidence of the student attempting the assessment.

It is recommended students pay the subject charge of $40. This covers the cost of the take home materials used in the course. and a yearly license fee for Photoshop. Photoshop would be installed on a personal computer. Students will be expected to pay for their own printing costs.
Please Note – A digital SLR camera is essential.
