Recommended Prior LearningMinimum 10 credits at Level 1 visual arts.
Painting students will develop drawing and painting skills in a variety of media using established artist practices and procedures.
Students will produce work, completing two internals and an external presented in a portfolio, on a number of themes.
A student will be withdrawn from a standard if the teacher is not confident that the achievement of the standard is within the reach of the student or there is no evidence of the student attempting the assessment.

It is recommended students pay the subject charge of $100. This covers the cost of basic take home art materials used in the course. Students are expected to supply their own paint brushes for portfolio and assessment work. Paint brushes purchased in year 11 visual Art can be used.
