Course Description

Employment Skills provides students with skills that are valuable in the workplace. Students build their confidence through practicing these skills in the classroom and by possible invitation to participate in the Gateway programme, in order to develop vocational pathways.
Other unit standards may be included as appropriate to the individual learner and their future career path.
This course offers an another pathway to gaining NCEA Level 1 literacy.


Course Overview

Term 1
Alongside the L1 budgeting standard (US 24709) this class participates in the 'Money Skills for Life' basic budgeting course run by Taupo Budget Service. This runs during class time once a week for 8 weeks.
