Course Description

Health & Physical Education contributes to personal and social development through classroom and practical learning. Students are involved in activities that require individual endeavour and interaction with others, while learning and developing life long skills and strategies for resilience, social interaction and physical activity.

The course involves participation in:

  • Athletics
  • Sport Education
  • Net games
  • Gymnastics
  • Playground games
  • Traditional Māori Games
  • a variety of modified games centered around participation, leadership, social responsibility confidence, cooperation, inclusion, and competence.

Health units in this course will be a combination of the following topics:

  • Relationship & sexuality education
  • Connected Technology
  • Hauora and wellbeing




Contributions and Equipment/Stationery

Students must have the correct PE uniform, as described in the uniform regulations, available for purchase online from Argyle.
