Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Ms S. Richards.
This course is for multi-lingual learners in Te Reo Māori. The course covers Te Reo Māori and Tikanga Māori in familiar contexts. The course is assessed through language achievement standards where students will develop their knowledge of Te Reo and Te Ao Māori.
Field Trips include:
Manu Kōrero Speech Competition (Regional & National).
Recommended Prior Learning
Year 10 Te Reo Māori, or with recommendation of teacher in charge.

A.S. 92092 1.1 - Te kōrerorero i ngā parongo, i ngā ariā me ngā whakaaroThis A.S. requires students to hold a conversation in Te Reo Māori with another person.
A.S. 92093 1.2 - Te whakapuaki whakaaro e pā ana ki tētahi horopaki e ora nei te reo
This A.S. requires students to produce one spoken and one written piece in Te Reo Māori.
A.S. 92094 1.3 - Te whakaatu i te māramatanga ki te reo Māori me ōna matapono i tētahi horopaki e taunga ana
This A.S. requires students to listen to a kōrero in Te Reo Māori and respond in writing their understanding of what they have heard.
A.S. 92095 1.4 - Te tuhi e pa ana ki tetahi horopaki e taunga ana
This A.S. requires students to do a pice of writing in Te Reo Māori.
Credit Information
You will be assessed in this course through all or a selection of the standards listed below.
