NCEA Level 1 Mathematics 3
This course covers the core mathematics of Level 1 and the required numeracy skills. Assessment is entirely through internal tasks; either through the numeracy standards, achievement standards or both.
A student will be withdrawn from a standard if the teacher is not confident that the achievement of the standard is within the reach of the student or there is no evidence of the student attempting the assessment.
Contributions and Equipment/Stationery
It is recommended that students have a scientific calculator with a fraction key (preferably a Casio FX82); basic mathematical equipment, i.e. ruler, Casio fx82 calculator
