Year 10 Dance
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Ms I. Gloy
The Year 10 dance programme is optional and is available to Year 10 students who express an interest in dance. The course includes:
- Dance elements – in conjunction with Choreographic Devices (both are key components of NCEA dance).
- Dance history – focussing on how genres mix to create new contemporary styles.
- Dance composition – developing on group and solo work.
- Students who are already participating in dance, whether private/extra-curricular, Kapa Haka or Pacific Island group, will have an individual learning plan to enhance their prior learning and experience.
Contributions and Equipment/Stationery
Any associated workshop cost may be extra.
